SmartNet North America Strengthens Market Position with New Network Coverage

SmartNet North America (www.smartnetna.com), the industry-leading high-precision, high-availability network RTK correction service, has bolstered its leadership position in the U.S. and Canada by adding more than 20 new stations. The expansion gives the SmartNet service a total of more than 660 stations in 26 states and 5 provinces—more than any other service provider.

Within the last several months, new stations have come online in Prince Edward Island in Canada, as well as in Louisiana, Texas and New Mexico in the United States to address growing market needs. View the interactive coverage map.

“Even though We already had the largest network with the most GNSS RTK network coverage of any service provider, our investment in providing expanded coverage and a high availability, high accuracy correction service is ongoing,” said Wendy Watson, Director, Reference Station Operations–GNSS reference networks. “We want to ensure that our customers have coverage where they need it and service when they need it.”

SmartNet North America is open to all makes and models of GNSS equipment and is designed to provide the highest reliability and accuracy 24/7. A variety of different subscription plans are available at the state, regional and national level for any application requiring precision GNSS corrections. The continued expansion of stations underscores the company’s commitment to customer service. “2015 is an important year for us, March 2015 is our our 5 year anniversary as a North American wide service provider and we have a number of initiatives and plans to further strengthen our position in the market." Watson said "Each of these initiatives is focused on providing a better and more comprehensive service to our customers, both this year and for years to come."
