Troubleshooting a GRX Infrastructure Receiver

To aid in the restoration of services please follow the steps provided below:

For GRX receivers that are collocated with a Cradlepoint device and an iBoot, please follow the steps below (if there is no Cradlepoint located on site please skip to the second section):

  1. Verify the GPS reference station is powered on and the Ethernet cable is plugged into the receiver, as well as plugged into LAN Port 1
  2. Verify the iBoot device is plugged into LAN Port 2
  3. Verify the Cradlepoint is powered on and the Ethernet cable is plugged into the WAN Port (symbol of a computer).  In certain instances the Cradlepoint may be configured to run over cellular, in these instances there will be no Ethernet cable plugged into the WAN Port
  4. Verify the Ethernet cable running into the Cradlepoint WAN Port is also plugged into the local LAN
  5. Verify there is activity lights on all three (3) Ethernet ports
  6. Reboot the entire system, Cradlepoint, GPS reference station and iBoot by unplugging the cable that runs between the iBoot and the power outlet from the wall, then re-plugging the cable back into the power outlet.  Verify the Cradlepoint and station have powered on using the LED lights located on the units
  7. If the GRX appears to be powered off, please hold down the power button for 2-3 seconds to power the unit on

For GRX receivers that have no additional SmartNet provided equipment, please follow the steps below:

  1. Verify the GPS reference station is powered on and the Ethernet cable is plugged into the receiver, as well as plugged into the local network
  2. Reboot the GPS reference station by unplugging the power supply from the power outlet and then re-plugging the power supply back into the power outlet.  Verify the station has powered on using the LED lights located on the unit.  If the unit appears to be powered off, please hold down the power button for 2-3 seconds to power the unit on

  3. Note any recent power outages or IT/ISP changes that may effect our ability to communicate with the GPS reference station
